I love doing VIP days with my clients. Here’s why YOU need to add them to your biz:
- You can implement them immediately, and use them over and over again.
- Give your business a quick infusion of cash anytime you need it.
- They are flexible – they give you so many different ways to offer services that are easy to deliver, and that clients will pay for.
- Use them to increase the value of your programs and trainings, by offering them as a bonus.
- Get a specific result FAST.
- Increase your credibility and status as an expert.
- Make more for your time.
- A VIP Day is something that’s easy for clients to say yes to.
What is a VIP Day?
It is concentrated time – just one day – with one person (or a group), focusing on a specific topic with very structured content.
A VIP Day can go in-depth on your topic, or you can do an overview. You have the time to deep-dive and co-create with your client(s) in a way that is magical and transformational.
VIP Days can be in person or virtual. Each has its benefits.
In Person: Face-to-face time creates more connection and synergy with your client. You can control the environment, and do exercises or processes that don’t work virtually. It’s always going to be the more powerful choice. When someone travels to work with you, you can go a little longer, and make their time even more special – even make it a truly luxurious, unforgettable experience. (Of course, you’ll factor that into your pricing.)
In-person VIP Days need more lead time to market. People have to make travel plans, and you are going to be doing more planning for all the logistics – special gifts, workbook, materials, hotel, car service, etc.
Virtual: The logistics are really simple. There’s no travel involved. You can deliver them very soon – in a week or two. You can work with people in other countries, or who can’t travel to you.
You can just use the telephone. (If you use the phone, you can even deliver your VIP Day in your pj’s.) Or you can use Skype with video – that way you can see your client and they can see you. (I do most of my client sessions via Skype video. It’s generally very reliable.)
They are still private, one-on-one, in-depth time. They’re not as personal or immersive as the in-person day, and you may have certain experiential work that won’t be possible to deliver in the virtual format.
You can also do a group VIP Day. It can be a small group, where you have more personal interaction with the participants, or it can be a big group. Instead of doing a 4-week teleclass, for instance, condense it into a one-day experience. An advantage of doing a virtual group VIP Day is that you can record it and create a product you can sell.
An in-person, group VIP Day works with a small group. Participants still get a lot of personal attention that way. If your group is larger than 8 or 10, you’ve got a workshop rather than a VIP Day.
You can offer VIP Days as a stand-alone service, or as a bonus (as part of a program).
Bonus for you: Your stand-alone VIP Day gives you a wonderful opportunity to make an offer for your client to move forward with you into a longer-term group or private program.
Getting the right topic and content for your divine-right VIP clients is important. I’m sure you have a lot of creative ideas and great exercises to take people through. Find the nuggets that are going to help your clients get the results they want, and that are the most juicy, joyful and profitable for you.
Making a paradigm shift is a great thing to do in a VIP Day. Having that concentrated time allows your client to go deep, shift old patterns, and experience an amazing breakthrough.

One of my Create Your Own VIP Day clients knew she needed her own VIP Day, but kept putting off designing it because it seemed overwhelming. We spent one in-person day creating her VIP Day from soup to nuts. She loved having “the power of 2” to move her forward in a way she hadn’t been able to do for herself.
Her VIP Day teaches the foundational skills her clients need to be able to move through big transitions in their lives (like divorce) with grace. It can stand on its own, and is also the ideal first step in her longer program. She now has the skills, templates and confidence to design and price any VIP Day going forward.
Tip: Don’t give your whole system as a VIP Day! Give clients an overview, and seed in your longer program, or give them one piece of your system, then offer the opportunity to join your program to get the rest.
