In these times that feel SO disorienting and discouraging, we nonetheless have much to be thankful for.
I’ve started a gratitude journal several times, and never continued for very long.
A recent email from my colleague, Ocean Robbins (Food Revolution Network), reminded me about the HUGE benefits of practicing gratitude.
Science is actually finding that practicing gratitude – by writing things we are grateful for each week, or EVEN BETTER daily – actually makes us happier and more productive. It also makes us more interested in helping others. Oh, and we report being less stressed and more likely to exercise, too.
With all those benefits for something so simple, it’s a no-brainer. I’m going to do a daily gratitude practice.
Today, I’m grateful for
- YOU – for taking the time to open and read my emails, and sometimes respond. I deeply value the connection.
- My recent business retreat on the Big Island (pic above), at Mauna Kea Beach. I got to swim with manta rays, connect deeply with my sister entrepreneurs, and get re-inspired and re-committed to my work and my business. Not to mention, connect with Mother Earth in a place where she is creating new land all the time.
- The beautiful view from my home office, that nourishes my soul EVERY DAY.
- My wonderful family and my partner’s wonderful family.
Wishing you many blessings this Thanksgiving Day in the US.
I’d love to hear what you’re grateful for.
Blessings –
Ariana
